It was a bright and early morning; the birds were singing
and the smell of fresh hot cinnamon rolls had taken over in the Bidwell-Sacramento
River State Park, it was just like every other ordinary morning. But for one
individual this was a morning she will never forget.
“AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!”
Birds flapping their wings carelessly scared out of the
trees, people within the park have come to a halt
“It’s a body, a dead body”
Hours later, Senior agent Teresa Lisbon and the CBI team
have arrived on site together with the Sacramento Police Department. The body
laid on the green grass helpless, her colour faded with a twisted rope tied
around her neck. All of sudden a the sound of a car engine approached the crime
scene, it stopped, the car door opened then closed
“Good Morning isn’t it Lisbon” Jane greeted the Senior
Agent
“Oops, not for her, she must’ve had a bad night” he sarcastically
adds on
Lisbon rolling her eyes, gets up from the body and
explains to Jane the situation and that supposedly it could have been a
suicide. But Jane was positive that it was more than a suicide
“No, this was a cover up, the rope doesn’t match the size
of the bruising around her neck and there is signs of struggle” Jane clearly
stated out
It was like Lisbon was told dogs could talk, her face
full of surprise and shock she questioned Jane’s observation
“You’ve only been here a minute and you got all that from
just a glimpse of the victim. Are you sure?!”
Before Jane could answer he was cut off
“This could be nothing?” Lisbon added
Jane shrugged his shoulders and turned to the Sheriff
“What do you think Sheriff?”
“Well…well…well…”
Before the Sheriff could finish off his answer Jane turns
round to Lisbon
“There you go, the Sheriff isn’t sure therefore there is
more to this than meets the eye”
The Sheriff looking at his fellow police officers with confusion
did not argue with Jane’s answer and continued to keep the public off the crime
scene. Back at CBI headquarters, the investigation continued but Jane had a gut
feeling that something was not right
“There is something fishy here.” He suggested
Lisbon once again looked at Jane with a confused look
“It’s an investigation, we don’t have all the answers so
of course there something not right, we don’t know who the killer is”
As the team works hard to find the answer to the murder
of this young lady, they come across an old file that was similar to their investigation.
The feeling of getting closer to the answer the team informed Lisbon about
their findings, and Lisbon set off with Cho, Rigsby and Van-Pelt to get to the
bottom of this. But Jane had other thoughts.
Walking towards the CBI kitchen area he got random flash
backs when he was a so called ‘medium’ and remembered that he had come across a
mother of one of the young girl who supposedly committed suicide. He remembered
that the mother explained her daughter was full of joy and loved everyone
around her, she did not see any signs of depression or behavior that her
daughter could be unhappy.
It was a light bulb had been turned on in Jane’s head, he
quickly walked back to Van-Pelt’s desk and printed out the old files found on a
killer called ‘One Stop Killer’. Searching through all the old folders about
these murders he came across a photo at one of the crime scenes. In the
background of the picture he came across something odd.
“I knew it” He sprung
Jane quickly grabbed his phone out of his pocket
*Lisbon’s answering machine* “This is Teresa Lisbon…”
Jane replies “Lisbon, I have something…”
“…Please leave a message and I shall get back to you as
soon as possible” the answering machine continued
*SMACK*
With continuous thumping like pains in his head, Jane
tries to remember what had happen, he feels cheeks pressed against the solid,
ice cold concrete, he slowly opens his eyes. Vision blurry, he swiftly gets up
to find that his hands are tied to a pipe. He looks around only to discover
that he was kidnapped. Continuously shaking his head he finally became aware of
his surroundings.
“Where am I?” Jane queried
Suddenly Jane could hear a vehicle pull in. The car door
slammed and the sound of footsteps was approaching briefly. Jane watching the
door like a tiger watching his prey, the basement door opened. Rusty brown
coloured boots appeared; step by step the body of this anonymous individual
appeared.
Jane keeping his eye on the individual, he approached
Jane but his face was covered by the shadows, he took his cigarette out of his
mouth tossed it towards Jane, crouched down in front of him
“Sheriff??” Jane said with disbelief
Back at headquarters, Lisbon had found clues left behind
by Jane as well as the photo at the crime scene the Sheriff standing in the
distance off duty. Without hesitation Lisbon and the team rushed to find Jane
and the Sheriff.
Jane enquired “Why me? What are going to do with me”
“You’re in the way” the Sheriff furiously replied
Basement doors open, two heads pop from under the doors
“HANDS UP!”
Shocked the Sheriff gripped on to Jane putting the gun to
his head
“LISBON!” Jane yelled out
*BANG BANG*
Lisbon pulled the trigger, piercing two bullets through
the Sheriff’s leg, Jane running towards Lisbon, Van-Pelt walks speedily towards
the Sheriff but before she could reach him, he gave Van-Pelt a defiant smirk,
place the gun to his head
*BANG*
Back at the CBI headquarters, they are close the case
with the Sheriff accused as the young girls killer, when Jane noticed a brown
box package on his desk, he walks over only to find a mysterious note which
reads
“This is only the beginning.
